Coyote Crochet Beanie

Want to try a little something different to crochet? Try this wonderful Coyote Crochet Beanie. Using the basic simple crochet stitches, as a beginner you’ll have not problems in creating this Coyote Crochet Beanie. Stitches used are: chain, single crochet, decrease and slip stitch.

I’m not a big fan of “real” coyotes, living out in the middle of a rural community, they are quite abundant to the point of annoying! But they have always been a great character in the cartoon world. Of course we all know the famous Wile E Coyote, always trying to out smart the “beep beep” Roadrunner. I’m pretty sure the “E” in Wile E. Coyote does not stand for Einstein! It just brings a smile to your face thinking about that miss matched team. Bring a smile to someone’s face with this fun Coyote Crochet Beanie.

I’ve been really busy over the holiday season. I’ve crocheted beanies for just about everyone in my immediate family. Dinosaur beanies, camo beanie, horse beanies, minion beanies, name it and I probably created it. I didn’t have patterns for any of these, just kind of created them but I do want to share my love of crochet with you.

Here’s a couple of nephews. These two boys love calling coyotes. Santana’s aka:Bushe camo beanie is horned, while Cimmaron’s aka:Fuzzy beanie is done with the dinosaur spikes

Here’s my oldest niece Adrienne aka: Bobo. And yes everyone in our family goes by nicknames! Her beanie is the classic spiral beanie.
And here’s Bishop and Jonah. Proud to call them my grandsons. Entered our lives last year and stepped all over our hearts. Avid snowboarders sporting their dinosaur beanies on the slopes.
Here’s my youngest daughter Diddle, yep another nickname. No one knows her by her real name. She’s wearing a minion beanie. Just one of many that she received for Christmas.

The Horse Ride

Taking a romantic ride today,
We sat upon the wagon.
Suddenly the horse lifted his tail
And we heard a roaring dragon!

The deafening sound hurt my ears
And the smell burned the hairs in my nose.
My girlfriend sat and glared at me.
Somehow my fault I suppose.

It was my idea to take the ride,
But how was I to know?
It really wasn’t in my plans;
Didn’t know the horse would blow.

The noise and the smell were bad enough,
As the wind blew quickly by.
But I think the very worst of it,
Was the brown stuff in my eye.

My girlfriend’s face turned angry red.
So I figured I wouldn’t dare,
Advise her of the smelly pieces
Of horse stuff in her hair.

The horse finally stopped; my girl ran away,
Stubbornly lifting her chin.
I think that horse was enjoying himself,
Cause I’m sure I saw him grin.

A lesson learned for me today.
Although I must confess,
I laughed so hard I nearly cried
As I wiped away the mess.
